Micaela's soccer tournament

Micaela is glad that she allowed herself to be talked into playing soccer again this year. (It's not time to quit yet.) When she began she only knew one girl on the team and she ended up making some great friends. Her team did extremely well and took first place in the city and they were so excited to play in the regional championship. No one likes to play goalie because there is a lot of responsibility--and very little glory. The coach asked Micaela to play goalie the entire game (She usually plays half the game and midfield half the game.) When the opposing team scored the winning goal right before the final whistle blew, we all knew how Micaela was feeling. Ben, who has a played goalie a lot, said, "I hope her team doesn't the blame Micaela for the loss of the game." Well, they didn't. In fact, they were very reassuring! Here is Micaela with her 2nd place trophy. We are all so proud of her for her hard work and her dedication to the team!
