Five years ago Reed was in the middle of chemotherapy treatments when we got a phone call inviting our whole family to the Cancer Christmas Party at BYU. We were amazed by the kindness and generosity of so many and this party has become a Christmas highlight. We've met some wonderful people, many of whom have dealt with their child's death or disability. There's a camaraderie among us because we're bound by a common experience. We thought that our party days were over because Reed's now on his mission, but we received another invitation and we couldn't resist.

The BYU basketball team comes every year. They help with the games and sign posters. Here are a few of them with Santa and the man who began this organization many years ago when he found out about a family whose child was suffering from cancer at Christmastime.
