Annie and Dolly both did a fabulous job. All the leads were great. I was impressed with how many talented people were involved--on stage and behind the scenes.
Micaela worked hard to flip her gun around and now that the play is over she really misses it.

Micaela was also an English dancer and the fiddle player.
It meant so much for me to have this experience with Micaela. What memories we made!
It's hard to imagine a more ideal Buffalo Bill. As you can see, we are all very excited to see him. I'm in the black vest and red skirt and next to me is my stage daughter MaKayla. One of the best parts of being in a production is getting to know some great people. Working hard to put on a great show, along with the crew and production staff is exhilerating and rewarding. And even though Micaela and I were happy to have our lives back we were sad too.

Our costume director, Miranda, did a fabulous job, but with a cast of over 100 it was overwhelming. I volunteered to help with my ballroom costume and my mom helped me sew this silver bodice. After the show I was back in my spectator costume and my mom said, "So you didn't need that silver bodice after all." I assured her that I had worn it during the ball scene. "Didn't you see me, mom? I had a one-word line. I said, 'Enchanted.'" Well, she never noticed me! All those hours of practicing the dance steps were completely wasted!
The director of Alpine Community Theater does a lot to include children and give them opportunities to perform so their were many children in the cast. It's a challenge to keep them in line and on task, but I was one of those little girls once upon a time and I think it's great. One evening one of the little girls who performed a square dance lost one of her shoes. All of us on stage were riveted, wondering what this little girl would do. I was very impressed by how well she handled it. She went on with the dance as if nothing had happened and eventually, the dance brought her back to her shoe, which she expertly slipped back onto her foot.
