D.O.L.L.S.

The theme for this year's camp was "Daughters of Light and Liberty," a patriotic theme because it was so close to Independence Day.

Kudos to the stake and ward camp directors for doing a fabulous job. As much as I enjoyed the camp--and it was my best girls' camp ever--I think camp director would be at the bottom of the list of my job choices. Give me nursery leader, early-morning seminary teacher, Enrichment Counselor or leader--all challenging for me for different reasons--but please, don't ever ask me to be a camp director!

Part of camp is certification and here we are learning how to cook in four different ways, with chocolate chip cookies for dessert.

Lauren, Sister Reay, Grace, Lorelle, Micaela

Go Micaela!

Most of the girls had a difficult time getting all the way up the wall--and over.

But Sister Reay was over the wall in a blink, with no help from anyone.

Victory!

The girls worked so well together to remove this tire from the post.

They found several ways to do it, too.
This group of very different girls work so well together because they are kind and they care about each other.

Many of our girls are talented musicians and I was so proud of how well they pulled off a rendition of "Pledge of Allegiance" in three-part harmony.
