Spring Smorgasbord

For a mother of school-age children, Spring is a busy time. Concerts, graduations, soccer games, school dances, music competitions, etc. So this post is a potpourri of many memories from the springtime.
Reed and Ben have been gone for a couple of weeks now and the house is awfully quiet. I am even missing the gaming noise.

Ben didn't date very much because he didn't want to spend the money, but he did go to Prom with Sasha, an exchange student from Germany.

Reed and Ben both played in the alumni game.
Seniors get to keep their jerseys. Both Reed and Ben played with the number 8.

Micaela played the violin for one of the songs her choir sang at the Grand Concert.

Micaela will have lots of memories of playing with Taylor Shumway.

Ben's orchestra did extremely well at State this year. Micaela and Ben are both very fortunate to have Mr. Beck for their orchestra teacher.

We don't get to see Gary, Tiff and Bridger often enough, but we had a fun time with them one weekend in May. Duff tended Bridger so that I could take Gary and Tiff to lunch. Then he tended again so that Tiff and I could go to the Holy Cow Boutique.
Micaela put this together for Bridger.

Ben and his Morp date.

Micaela's group performed a Taylor Swift song for choir.

Ben played in a quartet for his seminary recognition.
Micaela and I made these graduation treats for him.

Ben played in the orchestra for his graduation. (He is in the center behind the pole.)

Ben has always been my "baby" boy, so it's hard to comprehend that he is all grown up.

We celebrated at Brick Oven, one of our favorite places.

The Young Men and Young Women in our ward had a blast on this slippery slide at Pioneer Park.
